Please pray for Ruth Duvall

Dear Ones,
Our beloved Ruth Duvall (Homosassa Springs, Florida) is in need of our prayers….Please join with Al and I in a daily prayer vigil….
Yesterday Ruth had her last radiation treatment following breast cancer surgery in which they didn’t get it all. She has been staying at a hospital hotel kind of facility and has had to drive herself to the radiation appointments every day. Today she is driving home and is picking up another elderly woman who has dementia and also needs home care. Ruth, unbelievably, will be the one caring for “Joan” , while she herself is in need of home support. Ruth is asking for prayers for Joan as well as another friend, “Ruby” who has had thyroid surgery.
Ruth’s situation includes:
• Burning from the inside out from the radiation….showing outside on her back
• Nodes on her liver, thyroid and neck
• Cysts and stones in her kidneys
• Spots on section 6 of her liver
• Right side of thyroid – there’s 2 nodules
• One nodule on her right lymph gland & neck
• Lesions on her right lungs, back of breast bone
• Interstitual lung disease inside lining of lung nodules
• The nodules in her liver and thyroid have grown double in size since her last CT scan in July 2017
• Mini strokes – she has to hold up her eye lid to read
Appointments coming up with specialists include lung scans & examination on Nov 6 (next week); next mammograms scheduled for December and March.
Ruth desperately needs a break, having Joan live with her. She is asking for prayers for patience since Joan demands constant attention because of her dementia – she can’t watch TV, the news or cook on her own. She does not stop talking all day and to get to her bedroom which is up a very steep flight of stairs, she needs to crawl up on all fours. Ruth can’t make it up the stairs to check on Joan. Ruth needs to drive Joan to her appointments.
In spite of all these challenges, Ruth’s faith is strong and she remains good humoured, with an attitude of gratitude! She is very grateful for our prayers….I asked her to list these ailments for me so we can pray very specifically – I’m not sure I have captured it all, but I’m sure this will at least give you a good idea about her circumstances.
Please pray for practical and financial supports for our dear friend, who is such a beautiful light in this world to so many.
