DLSF Annual General Meeting Year End Report

Post by jeanne »

Dear Friends,

We are gearing up for our 4th Annual General Meeting! It's this Saturday! It's time to celebrate! Here is the President's Year End Report! Thanks to everyone for making it all happen!!

Divine Love Sanctuary Foundation
President’s Annual Report
4th Annual AGM
December 27, 2016

In 2015 DLSF ventured forth….from the west coast of Canada and on to the world scene of the Divine Love Movement. Solid connections and inter-personal relationships were strengthened with many other Divine Love followers around the world who, like us, were eager to join together to experience and to spread the Truths of Divine Love.

The Gibsons retreat hosted by DLSF Directors and volunteers in August 2015 was the highlight of the year, with international guests attending from Australia, Europe, Africa, across the U.S. and Canada. Participants strengthened global connections by sharing their faith, their stories and their prayers. The discussions in break out groups provided inspiring opportunities for sharing spiritual Truths and personal insights about spiritual growth. DLSF members are now fully embraced as part of the worldwide Divine Love family.

2015 began with the DLSF board sending Jeanne and I on a prayerful mission to each coast of the USA and then on to Namibia in Southern Africa. With a giant leap of faith we travelled for almost two months to meet and pray with others seeking and living “The Love” in southern California, Florida, New York and Namibia. Wherever we stopped (Los Angeles, Homosassa Springs, Queens, New York, Windhoek, Swakopund, Etosha and Drimiopsis) we were carried by God’s Mighty River of Love. Our greatest blessing came with the opportunity to pray with many people from different walks of life --representing accountants, computer programmers, business men, editors, lawyers, archeologists, nurses, social workers, retired farmers and desperately poor indigenous people from three different southern African tribes. While most of these gatherings were small in numbers (3 to 10 people), they inspired each local group to continue to meet together and to open up their circles to others.

In August we received confirmation from our Celestial guides that establishing these circles was an important step in the work of DLSF in the future. Our Divine Love family continues to grow and more dedicated souls are enthusiastically contributing to the forward movement of the organization in the form of prayer circles, donations and volunteer work.
Our trip to Namibia to observe and support Helge Mercker’s efforts both spiritually and in establishing an orphanage/school in Drimiopsis was a humbling and inspiring adventure. We joined fellow board member Geoff Cutler at the isolated settlement camp of Drimiopsis and we are pleased to report that our mutual efforts have helped bring greater focus and clarity to what is necessary in supporting this project to fruition. There is still much work to be accomplished in Drimiopsis and we expect that DLSF will continue to be involved there in more practical ways in the years ahead.

With Hal Eisenburg, Executive Director of Windows of Opportunity in Queens, New York, we were privileged to participate at a Dream Aloud Conference for Youth at St. John’s University; as well, we prayed together with Divine Love followers in daily and weekly Circles.

Many thanks to the Foundation Church of Divine Truth for their featured stories about Love in Action projects in their newsletter and for publishing pictures of our DLSF sponsored mission! DLSF is grateful for FCDT’s efforts for spreading the news of diverse organizations and knitting us all together, sharing information about Divine Love activities throughout the world!

Jeanne and I also want to pay tribute to FCDT for their Ministerial Ordination program. In response to their requirements Helge, Jeanne and I researched and submitted 46 essays focused on the Divine Truths. Our 3 sponsors, Geoff Cutler, Michael Nedbal and Ruth Duvall offered each of us amazing support as we worked (individually) through the program. Jeanne and I are delighted to announce that we are travelling to Hawaii in January, 2016 to receive our Ministerial Ordinations.

Two books of messages received from Jesus and Celestial spirit guides were published by DLSF in 2015: “Pearls of Wisdom for Creating Circles of Light” and “Messages of Love – Summer, 2015”. A third publication, thanks to the efforts of DLSF Director Jane Gartshore, was also published (by Shutterfly) in 2015. Jane selected excerpts from messages along with photos of joyous participants who attended the August retreat in Gibsons. Thanks also to Helge Mercker for her loving efforts to rescue a profound selection of messages from storage that were received from Celestial spirit guides in 1969 and 1970 in the Vancouver area. What a labour of love, spending countless hours on this priceless collection! Thanks to Helge’s efforts, DLSF is poised to publish this historical document early in 2016, pending permission from living members of those prayer circles held 47 years ago!

Transcribing voice recordings, editing, selecting messages and preparing publications requires hours of dedicated and prayerful, technically savvy support! In 2015 Divine Love followers from New South Wales and Queensland, Australia; New Jersey, New York, Namibia and British Columbia all stepped up to form “dream teams” for this work of love. A list of DLSF volunteers is attached to this report. Without the excellent editorial skills of Eva Peck and Brian Holmes these publications would not have been possible.

While DLSF outreach efforts continue to grow in the world, the emphasis of founding members of DLSF at home is to continue hosting weekly prayer circles (with almost 20 participants) in West Vancouver and Gibsons. DLSF prays simultaneously with groups in Frankfurt, New York and Australia; we also participate in drumming circles in Sechelt, B.C. with our beloved Aboriginal friends living here on the west coast of Canada.

Established in 2012, http://www.divine-love-sanctuary.ca provides information about Divine Love to online seekers, including links to other Divine Love websites as well as an active forum for prayer requests and spiritual discussions. In 2015 there was a total of 8,504 posts within 849 different topic areas by 172 members!

Messages received from Jesus and Celestial spirit guides are posted each week on the website. As well, selected messages are sent via Mail Chimp to approximately 200 individuals each week.

Email, telephone and skype “pastoral counselling” based on the prayer practice of receiving Divine Love is offered in response to requests from online seekers as well as from members of our local prayer circles.

Special thanks to Helge Mercker for setting up a channel called “Divine Love Sanctuary” to make voice recordings of messages available to those who prefer to listen to them than to read them, at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxlr47 ... 4yj-aslC-A . Dennis Tormey, who volunteers to maintain the DLSF website has also produced his own You Tube channel to listen to the voice recordings, which are available at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCm61g- ... agerWs4ELw . Also established in 2015 by Dennis Tormey, a new DLSF Facebook page provides an opportunity for friends to post photographs of prayer gatherings and other events.
Articles related to building spiritual power in group prayer circles are posted on our website; printed copies are available by request.

This past fall brought surprising but exciting new ideas from the Angels on how our board will function in the future. The Founding Directors have decided to restructure, streamline and give a more international flavor to DLSF’s board governance. Beginning in 2016, the number of Directors will be reduced to 4 decision-making directors. Founding Directors, Terry Adler, Barbara Davies, Judy Dunbar, Betty Owen and Jane Gartshore, having completed a 3 year term will provide prayerful support, consultation and continued outreach. Plans to offer a variety of different workshops and healing merkabas are already underway by the Founding Directors.

At our Annual General Meeting scheduled for Saturday, January 9, 2016, we expect that Helge Mercker (who has enthusiastically accepted formal nomination to the board) will be elected while Geoff Cutler, Jeanne and myself will be re-elected for another 3 year term (2016 – 2019). Outgoing directors will continue as volunteer advisors, facilitators, and hosts in support of the ongoing efforts of DLSF in the years ahead.

On behalf of my colleagues on the DLSF board, we wish to thank you, our readers, who support the work of the Divine Love Sanctuary Foundation. Your contributions and loving support upholds our Mission: “To awaken humankind to the wonders of Divine Love and to be channels of love, peace and healing for our planet”.

Please continue to pray for DLSF to be a channel in God’s Service. Without your goodwill, prayerful support and many contributions, there would be no DLSF. It is your loving dedication and willingness to follow your own guided efforts that make DLSF a viable organization. Please continue to support and contribute as you feel inspired and guided. May God bless all those willing to contribute in their own loving ways.

With great gratitude and appreciation
