How to Build Spiritual Power
Since we started hosting Divine Love prayer circles on the Sunshine Coast, interest in these gatherings has grown substantially, far surpassing our expectations! We are blessed to have such a diverse group of people from many walks of life gather with us in prayer for God’s Love. We have shared some wonderful experiences together in these gatherings and are gratified to hear what a positive impact receiving Divine Love is making in peoples’ lives. We enjoy the spiritual discussions after our meetings and in between meetings and are deeply touched by those who have shared their spiritual journey with us.
In order to ensure that when we come together in prayer we can continue to strengthen the spiritual condition in the group, we want to share some of the important practices we’ve learned on our spiritual journey over the last four decades. We know that by sitting together with singleness of purpose and with clear expectations, the Gift of God’s Love and spiritual blessings will continue to intensify within us, as individuals and as a group.
• Our first and foremost priority is to engage in sincere prayer and soul longing to receive the essence of God, the Creator’s Divine Love, into our souls. We come together unified in this desire so that we may be transformed from within by this miraculous blessing.
• This is not a spiritualist circle. Although we receive messages and many in the group see and hear spirit, this is not our primary reason to be together. While our angel friends do come to speak and bring many blessings to us, our goal is not to commune with spirits. Rather, our purpose is to reach for the highest, to reach for God as God is reaching for us. If we fulfill our intention to commune with God, it allows the highest spirit guides and teachers to come to help us, and many spirits to come for help. Everything falls into place and harmony is achieved when this principle is honored. The ability to see and hear spirit can be a blessing but it can also be a distraction from our real purpose, to grow closer to the Creator. If, as a group, we have this one purpose and goal, we can experience this blessing even more intensely together.
• We do not want any spirit influencing our circle that is not Celestial. Therefore, we are all expected to keep our thoughts on positive things and direct our prayers to the Creator asking that only Celestial guides be teachers and gatekeepers for the group and for any medium being used.
• Mediums will be protected from negativity when there is singleness of purpose with each person keeping their thoughts and their longings focused on receiving Divine Love and coming closer to our Creator.
• If negative thoughts and feelings arise and you notice yourself judging others, then immediately stop yourself and send the person love….ask God to bless the other person and dissolve any negativity.
• During the day of the meeting, we need to prepare ourselves by keeping our thoughts positive and praying that God will bless us abundantly in our gathering. We need to pray that God will place The Cloak of Protection around each one of us – protection from all spirits and influences that are not Celestial. Pray for each person coming to the group. Having light meals on the day of the gathering is also helpful as heavy food can be disruptive to the healing and spiritual energy we receive in the circle.
• Daily prayer and meditation is the most helpful way for you to become attuned to the practice of receiving Divine Love. You will receive great benefit from sitting quietly and engaging in sincere prayer to the Creator asking for the blessing of Divine Love to fill your soul; asking for healing, peace and guidance. As a result, you will bring more spiritual power into the group. With greater spiritual power, we will be able to come closer to the fountainhead of God’s Love and this in turn will cascade into greater blessings as we progress upon the Divine Pathway.
• We are each responsible for the spiritual condition we bring to our gatherings. The collective spiritual power generated in the group is taken and used to help each member of the group as well as family, friends, and those we pray for and to whom we are connected. This healing energy can be taken around the world, where ever it is needed.
• We believe there are two distinct pathways to spiritual progression, the Divine Path and the Natural Path. The Divine Pathway is focused on one’s relationship with God and receiving Divine Love into one’s soul. This Love exists outside of ourselves and is a blessing of God who is a Being Who also has an existence outside of our being. Divine Love is not a birthright but must be asked for of our own free will; otherwise we do not receive it. The natural love is what we are born with and the refinement and expansion of this human love is defined as the Natural Pathway. Two different loves, two different paths. The harmonizing, cleansing and progression of the soul on the Divine Path is an outcome of receiving the Divine Love. A purified soul in the natural sense will bring one close to God but a soul filled with enough Divine Love will bring a soul into atonement with God and that individual becomes a Divine Angel.
• This is not a church. We come together to establish a brotherhood and sisterhood so that we can support each other as we progress in God’s Love. To have a spiritual family in this way is a benefit that we are all entrusted to share and sustain. Although we may lead varied and complex lives apart from one another, we are closely knit in a soul bond of love. As such, we carry a part of each other with us where ever we go. When we sit in our Divine Love Circles our chemicals and spiritual essence is shared with each other and we become connected in profound ways. These special connections with one another will never be lost and though we may be apart for awhile, there will always be the recognition and soul awareness of this special bond.
• We honor all people and all religions. Praying for the Divine Love is meant to enhance and add to anyone’s beliefs. As we progress in receiving Divine Love we receive the Truths within us through our soul perceptions. False beliefs fall away as our souls come close to the fountainhead of Love. There is no requirement to believe in a prescribed set of tenets or to have a particular belief structure other than to have faith that God’s Love is real and with its possession in abundance, truth will come to you at the right time and in the right way and error will fall away as a natural consequence to being close to the Source of all Truth.
• We are all equal in God’s eyes. Although we may be at different stages upon our spiritual journey, God loves each of us equally. There is no hierarchy within the group. We love and respect each other as equals.
• We are open to anyone who wishes to join us in prayer for Divine Love. All that is required is a sincere desire to experience this sacred, healing blessing and to put aside one’s ego, judgments and material conditions when we are gathered together.
• Our start time should be respected and latecomers should call ahead to inform us of their status. We will wait no more than 10 minutes. Those who are later than this will have to join us after the prayer.
• If you would like to pray for anyone (including yourself), you may wish to add that name to the Blessings Bowl.
We are happy to do energy healing / laying on of hands for those who feel they are in need of healing – please ask.
We welcome discussion on any of these points and thank you again for being part of these wonderful gatherings. It’s not our intention to put any restrictions or fences around any individual’s beliefs or spiritual process – our intention is to define the primary purpose of the Divine Love Circles we’re hosting.

Divine Love Prayer Circles:
How to Grow in Divine Love
The DLSF Board wishes to share some of the important guiding principles and practices learned over the last four decades to ensure that when we come together in prayer we continue to strengthen the spiritual condition in the group and achieve its’ central purpose, to grow in the Love.
Divine Path and the Natural Path
We believe there are two distinct pathways to spiritual progression, the Divine Path and the Natural Path. The Divine Pathway is focused on one’s relationship with God and receiving Divine Love into one’s soul. This Love exists outside of ourselves and is a blessing of God who is a Being who also has an existence outside of our being. Divine Love is not a birthright but must be asked for of our own free will; otherwise we do not receive it. The natural love is what we are born with and the refinement and expansion of this human love is defined as the Natural Pathway. These are two different loves, two different paths. The harmonizing, cleansing and progression of the soul on the Divine Path is an outcome of receiving the Divine Love. We are open to anyone who wishes to join us in prayer for Divine Love. We come together to build a brotherhood/sisterhood, a spiritual family, in which we can support one another as we progress in God’s Love. Anyone with a sincere desire to experience this sacred, healing blessing and with the willingness to put aside ego, judgments and other material conditions, is welcome.
We honor all people and all religions. Praying for the Divine Love is meant to enhance and add to anyone’s beliefs. As we progress in receiving Divine Love and receive the Truths within us, our soul perceptions develop and false beliefs fall away. There is no requirement other than to have faith that God’s Love is real and with its possession in abundance, truth will come to you at the right time and the right way and error will dissolve as a natural consequence of drawing closer to the Source of all Truth.

This is not a spiritualist circle. Although we receive messages and many in the group see and hear spirit, this is not our primary reason to be together. While our angel friends do come to speak and bring many blessings to us, our goal is not to commune with spirits. If we fulfill our intention to commune with God, it allows the highest spirit guides and teachers to come to support both us and the many other seeking spirits that come for help. When this principle is honored everything falls into place and harmony is achieved. The ability to see and hear spirit can be a blessing but it can also be a distraction from our real purpose, to grow closer to the Creator and to be open to receiving His/Her Love. If, as a group, we are united in this one purpose and goal, we can experience the Love even more intensely together.
Those in the group with the gift of mediumship will be protected from spirits other than Celestials both by their own free will choice and the choice made by each group member to long only for receiving Divine Love. Mediums are especially vulnerable to spirit influence, so it is the responsibility of each and every group member to protect them through the commitment to reach only for the Highest. Good ways to ensure safety include praying for the cloak of protection from all spirits and influences that are not Celestial and asking that only Celestial guides be gatekeepers and teachers for the group.
Preparation for Group Prayer
We are each responsible for the spiritual condition we bring to our gatherings. The collective spiritual power generated in the group benefits each member of the group as well as family, friends, all those we pray for and to whom we are connected. This healing energy can flow where ever it is needed in the world, as well as into the spirit realms.
The most helpful way for you to prepare is to pray and meditate daily. You will receive great benefit from sitting quietly and engaging in sincere prayer to the Creator asking for the blessing of Divine Love to fill your soul. Your progression through personal effort will contribute to the capacity of the group to come closer to the fountainhead of God’s Love. The more we receive the Presence of our Creator into our souls, the greater the cascade of blessings we experience.
During the day of the meeting, we need to prepare ourselves by keeping our thoughts positive. We need to pray that God will place the Cloak of Protection around each one of us – protection from all spirits and influences that are not Celestial.
If negative thoughts and feelings arise and you notice yourself judging others, then immediately stop yourself, send the person love and ask God to bless them. Pray for more Love to dissolve this negative condition. Keep in mind that although we may be at different stages upon our spiritual journey, God loves and values each soul equally. There is no hierarchy within the group.
Having light meals on the day of the gathering is also helpful as heavy food can be disruptive to the healing and spiritual energy we receive in the circle.
The start time should be respected and latecomers should call ahead to inform the group of their status. Those who are later than ten minutes can join the group after the prayer.
In order to facilitate the flow of energies generated in group prayer, it is advisable to keep legs uncrossed and take off footwear that is rubber or leather soled. Comfortable clothing is an asset when sitting for the hour-long prayer and meditation.
Outcomes
Although we may lead varied and complex lives apart from one another, through praying together we become closely knit with soul bonds of love. When we sit in our Divine Love circles, our chemicals and spiritual essence are shared and we are inter-connected in profound ways. These connections with one another will never be lost. Though time and distance may separate us, we will always have soul recognition and awareness of our connectedness.
The bonds forged by our efforts and those of our Celestial guides create a network of light, a conduit that strengthens and facilitates the flow of Love, healing and many other spiritual benefits for us and many others around the globe. As we pray together, we pray for all our brothers and sisters on this planet. In doing so, we ‘light up the grid’ that is being formed by our shared love bonds and connections. Our efforts bring Love into the world.
