Upcoming Divine Love Retreat in Arizona

Post by Eva »

A Divine Love retreat is planned to be held September 9-13 at WorldMark Phoenix. This resort is nestled at the base of South Mountain Preserve, one of the country's largest municipal parks. Guests are surrounded by unspoiled natural desert views, and a variety of native wildlife with immediate access to 55 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. (For more information see https://www.extraholidays.com/phoenix-a ... rk-phoenix). The retreat will consist of music, prayers for Divine Love, outings, food, fellowship and fun. Accommodation prices range from $435 for a one-bedroom unit to $635 for a three-bedroom unit. For more details and booking, contact Patricia Doyle at pdoyle888(at)yahoo.com.

Those who wish to stay longer can attend the Afterlife Research and Education Institute Symposium (AREI - http://afterlifeinstitute.org/) held September 14-16 in the nearby Scottsdale. The symposium usually ends at 1pm on Sunday, although additional seminars are offered for another day or two. For accommodation and registering for the Symposium, go to http://www.afterlifesymposium.org/. The Super Early Bird fee is only $195 including the membership fee, but you need to register by May 15. (If you haven’t read Patricia’s experience from last year’s symposium, you can find it in the November 2017 Divine Love Newsletter (http://www.fcdt.org/community/documents ... 202017.pdf)

Between September 9-13, seventeen brothers and sisters in the Divine Love gathered in unity and harmony at WorldMark Phoenix to fellowship, worship in music, song and dance, learn from each other, get to know each other better, and above all, pray for God’s Love and personal healing. The group also enjoyed meals together, fun time in the pool, a trip to Desert Botanical Gardens and Hole in the Rock, with a small group also going on Desert Belle Cruise on the Saguaro Lake. Each participant who wished to do so received affirmation and prayers for healing during a morning or afternoon prayer session. In some cases, the results were powerful and obvious to all. Everyone was touched at soul/heart level in giving and receiving Love and left uplifted and edified, as well as wishing the retreat would continue. Thanks are due primarily to Patricia Doyle for spearheading and organizing this retreat, as well as those who assisted with set-up, food, and other ways. Quoting Jeanne Fike, “Thank you everyone for bringing your highest selves together in mutual prayer and respect for all our unique creations!”

If you have participated in the retreat and would like to add to the above and share your experiences, please go ahead and post. Please post any pics you'd like to share on the Divine Love Reunions Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/744557159004135/.

Much love,

Joan also contributed to the organization of the retreat -- besides Patricia, Holly and myself. And the retreat success was really a team effort of everyone cooperating, being respectful and using their gifts for the benefit of all as they were moved by love. Or, to quote Jeanne, it was “everyone bringing [their] highest selves together in mutual prayer and respect for all our unique creations!”

Much love,
Eva

Here are more reflections on the retreat in Phoenix . This was what I submitted to the FCDT newsletter today:

Thanks Eva for a beautiful write up about our retreat together. I also appreciate the comments that others have shared. This retreat was different from many that I have attended. Each seems to have a theme and flavor of their own but all are predicated on God's Gift of Divine Love. We are a diverse community and one that survives and thrives with the unity that comes with prayer rather than thought. We have all experienced the revelation of receiving the Divine Love in our own way and have nurtured this truth through personal prayer and experiences. Coming together as we have recently, and in past years, gives us the opportunity to witness and share each other's journey towards our continuing soul awakening. We are not particularly motivated to join together in religious doctrine, instead we come together as family acknowledging the uniqueness of each member and finding room in our hearts and minds to include each brother and sister in the fold. We give room for each other's insights, prayers, gifts and personalities. We acknowledge the necessity of prayer and giving over to God's Will in our lives. And we live our lives as best we can in concert with God's Laws of Love. Putting aside any concerns over cultural differences empowers our community and strengthens our message. The message of receiving the soul changing gift of Divine Love is a message meant for the world. It is able to fit into any religion that includes God, and any culture that values the power of love. In many ways our diverse group reflects the ways of the world but in one crucial aspect we defy the predilection of humanity to cause discord. We acknowledge our higher selves, the soul, and how love can heal all discord. Our time together has once again proven this to be true. Unity and community has been forged with love and a willingness to open our hearts to one another. It is in the healing of our hearts together that the truth of God's Love is witnessed and demonstrated. I thank each one of my brothers and sisters who came together in faith and shared this time together. It was truly uplifting and a deep blessing to my soul. May we continue to make time for one another in this way and I look forward to meeting you all again soon. Much love.......Al Fike
