So good to be home .... Al and I are still basking in deep wonderment and gratitude for an ocean of blessings these past 2 months.....here is a recap of our adventures in Washington, Oregon and California! All the messages we received during the trip have been compiled and are almost ready to post!
They are extraordinary messages! What follows is an introduction to the messages...... Love Jeanne With a giant leap of faith, we loaded up our car and left our home in Gibsons, Canada, on April 18 for a five week spiritual adventure! Altogether we travelled 6,900 kilometers (4,286 miles), and prayed with about 50 Divine Love seekers in 11 locations from Abbotsford, British Columbia to San Diego, California.
Abbotsford, B.C. was our first stop for prayer with Maureen Cardoso and her merry band of Divine Love followers who meet monthly in her home. We left inspired and full of anticipation about what God had in store for us!
Guided by Michael Nedbal’s warm welcome to F.C.D.T.’s newest member, our next destination was Vancouver, Washington where we met Michael Carver! Michael had only just discovered the Padgett messages and was over the moon with excitement! Although shy by nature, Michael came to our hotel to pray with us and the blessing he received from Mother Mary confirmed that he had found the Truths and that she had been watching over him all his life. Though initially a stranger to us, we now count Michael as a life long friend and fellow traveller on this glorious Path Divine!
Our adventure brought us into contact with brand new Divine Love followers as well as seekers who were born into families already praying for Divine Love. We met with individuals, small groups, large groups, well established groups and a new group just forming. Thanks to the wonders of the internet, everyone we prayed with we had met online, including the very first person who ever posted the Padgett messages online!
Al looked over maps of Washington, Oregon and California, asking for Angelic guidance. He kept feeling a surge of love pointing us to Redding, California. How wonderful it was for us to discover Matt Sinclair on facebook, who responded eagerly to our invitation to meet and pray with us! Matt was born into a Divine Love family. His mother Marva Egenberger served as a Trustee of the F.C.N.B. and published a book in 2001 called “Journey Into Faith”. Matt recalls praying for Divine Love in a Children’s Group at the age of 7. Marva now resides in the Celestial heavens and brought her beloved son a sweet blessing as only a mother can do! Oh, the joys of social media that brought us another friend for life!
From Redding we ventured on to Santa Cruz to spend four days with Amy Bolton (Amada Reza) and her beloved mother Kathryn Stokes, in their rose covered, love filled, 116 year old heritage home. What a blissful experience! Although we can’t recall the details, we had already met Kathryn and her late husband, George Stokes, when they came to visit our Divine Love group in West Vancouver 40 years ago! Our reunion with Kathryn was sheer delight -- we hugged and giggled for four intensely sweet days!! Awesome prayers! Amy, too, was born into a Divine Love family and is anchored in God’s Love. Their home was an oasis and our discussions, rich and exciting. Amy arranged for us to visit Doug Oreck in his “unintentional community”; the prayers we shared with them for the next 2 days were joyful and filled with God’s Grace. Our adventure in Santa Cruz is one we will never forget!
From Santa Cruz we headed to Manhattan Beach, Los Angeles. Our beloved friend Behnaz Fayazzadeh, who lives in West Vancouver where she prays with us weekly, arranged for us to meet and pray with her lovely nieces and sister-in-law in their beautiful home. Being with this family steeped in deep faith was a rare, rich cultural experience . Again, the Angels spoke to us and brought their blessings – how wonderful it was to be joined in spirit, by Zoroaster, the founder of the Persian faith.
From Manhattan Beach we travelled to Menifee to the home of our beloved friends, Dennis Tormey and Suzie Klein. We have shared a spiritual bond with Dennis & Suzy since first meeting them online in 2013! Dennis loves to share the story of when they came to meet us for the first time in Gibsons! New to the Divine Path, they were second guessing themselves about the wisdom of accepting an invitation to visit complete strangers in another country! They had a “Plan B” in the event we didn’t show up at the airport. Our friendship continues to grow stronger with each passing year and shared retreats (Gibsons, Blackpool, Washington DC, Prescott Arizona). Our most sacred time with Dennis & Suzy was to “officiate” their wedding vows on Soames Hill in Gibsons on a bright and beautiful November day in 2014. Coming together again in Menifee was a joyful reunion with blissful prayers, laughter and music!
Thanks to Holly Bianco, we enjoyed a spiritual feast in the lap of luxury at the Indio Retreat from May 7 to 12. How wonderful it was to catch up with dear friends from far off places. The morning coffee klatches with Kristin, Ruth, Holly and Maureen bubbled over with “Girl Talk”! Afternoons spent in the pool, browning ourselves under the hot sun and the two or three prayer circles each day deepened and strengthened our love bonds and nourished our souls.
After the Indio Retreat, our friend, Jimbeau Walsh from Hawaii, hitched a ride with Al and I to San Diego were we spent a blissful day at the Self Realization Centre in Encinitas, in the ocean view gardens created by Yoganada. For several years, Al and I had been curious about whether Yoganada was on the Natural Love Path or the Divine Love Path. After our visit in Encinitas, any doubts we had were completely dispelled! Both Yoganada and St. Francis of Assisi welcomed us to the amazing gardens where visitors from all over the world are touched by God’s Grace. What a beautiful place for meditation and prayer!
Our furthest stop south was San Diego where we met (for the second time) and prayed with an anonymous couple that we met online three years ago! I can well understand the reasons for choosing anonymity when one works in the Public Sector. But let me tell you that this humble couple, who have never posted in the Forum or on Facebook, pray fervently for all of us and delight in following every Divine Love character who shows up in the Forum! Every prayer request becomes part of their personal prayer vigil. Their love and humility are inspiring, their faith strong! We count our friendship with this “unseen” couple as a beautiful gift in our lives!
On May 15 we headed north again, stopping to visit my cousins in Mission Viejo as well as Matt and Brenda again in Redding. Afterwards, we took a life changing detour to Bend, Oregon to encounter another surprise! The intrepid Sarah Petty, who met us via our new website only a short time ago, intends to form a new Divine Love prayer circle in Bend! She gathered nine of us together for a weekend of prayer and healing. This wonderful group of friends were unfamiliar with James Padgett’s books, though not with Divine Love in their souls. What a humbling experience it was for us to meet a new soul sister in Lorraine Borchers who generously hosted the prayer, healing sessions, delicious meals and soul awakening conversations. Helge Mercker’s (Namibia) dear friend Lori Warnick drove all the way from Yakima, Washington (four hours both ways) to spend a few precious hours with us in prayer! The Presence of God and the Angels was powerful and transformative. We have no doubt this fledgling Divine Love group in Bend will continue to grow and strengthen in God’s Love.
We are deeply grateful to God for an Ocean of Blessings and delightful surprises every day of our journey. We give thanks to each person who shared their faith, their stories and their prayers with us. Our lives have been graced by the Angels who brought countless blessings to us all.
