Thanks to Terry Adler, a Trustee with the WHC (World Healing Centre) in Blackpool, England, there will be a Divine Love Retreat in Blackpool from Thursday, August 25 to Sunday, August 28 -- immediately preceding the Frankfurt Retreat (Aug 31-Sept 4).
The Blackpool retreat will be jointly hosted by D.L.S.F. and W.H.C. and held in the hallowed and majestic sanctuary on Lytham Road. We will be posting details as soon as they are available, but anticipate there will be 2 prayers each day, opportunities for discussion and activities in Blackpool which in it's hey-day was THE tourist destination in the U.K. Situated in north-east England on the edge of the Lake District, on the Irish Sea and not far from the border with Scotland, the amusement park it boasts is reminiscent of Coney Island amusement park in New York! There is a promenade along the ocean that extends for miles and miles... a trip to Ireland is less than hour's flight away!
We are recommending reservations for accommodation at the Waldorf Hotel owned by Steve Pyatt who is also a trustee on the board at WHC. Al, Terry, Geoff, Helge and others have all stayed at the Waldorf many times and can attest to it's informal and homey hospitality! The Waldorf is located on the promenade.
Already we know that Arie, Marion (Frankfurt), Helge and her mother Frauke (Namibia), Geoff (Australia), Jimbeau Walsh (Hawaii), David Reed (Montana), Brian Holmes and Kevin O'Neill (both from New Jersey) and Gemma (Wales) are amongst those confirmed to join us for both the Blackpool and Frankfurt retreats!
