Prayer Inspiring Music

I remember having read here and there that some of you like to listen to inspiring music when praying for divine love. Personally, music is very important to me when I want to enter the proper mood conductive to divine love praying. I have collected some music that I use (listen to) specifically for that purpose. It ranges from classical baroque music (Haendel, Monteverdi, etc.) to Qawwalie sufi music (from India and Pakistan, particularly a few songs by Nusrath Ali Fateh Khan, which are devetionally inspiring). Nonetheless, there is a song in particular, that I love above all others, which I think was inspired by celestial spirits : Magnificent, by U2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ElCENQWjIck I always thought that the text (Only Love, I was born to be with you, I was born to sing for you, etc.) fits perfectly with a divine love prayer. Now, today I wanted to know what the exact text is, and found someone saying it is overtly a Christian song (though the video youtube doesn't show that), and I thought I would share that on this forum. In any case, this song is truly inspiring when I listen to it (typically several times in a row), although I usually don't listen to U2's other songs.

LOL. Yeah I have some U2 but don't use it for meditation. I find it too "jangly". Hard to say that any particular music is what everyone likes. But I have moved off instruments to vocals, and vocals with meaningful words. I like Ashana and some other tracks like Donna De Lory's Blessed Always. A bit different is Ajeet Kaur - Darshan.

We recently were told to make a habit of only listening to uplifting stuff, and so I have big playlists for travel in the car. Which I do a lot of.

Hello Geoff and Daniel!

When I meditate or pray, I very often listen to music, using headphones.
I choose music without lyrics and little or no rhythm. I am very easily distracted....
