I was hoping to get some feedback or maybe start a discussion on the idea of stockpiling food and supplies for the upcoming earth changes. I find this to be a difficult and stressful topic as I am not really sure what to do. I’ve been praying regularly for specific guidance for myself and my family but I haven’t really received anything specific. It’s hard to imagine a world were we can’t just run to the store and get what we want.
What I’m concerned about is the timing of these events and how much they will affect me. I hesitate to run out and buy a bunch of stuff and then have it go to waste. Also, for some reason it doesn’t feel very spiritual to hoard items and keep things from others.
I do get a sense that there is potential for world wide economic shutdown this winter. Possibly due to Covid-19 or the US election causing turmoil. I live in an area that gets a lot of snow and I have received some guidance related to the possibility of “being stuck” this winter. Plows being unable to move due to low petroleum supplies around the world. Potential Covid-19 outbreaks...that kind of thing. I do live less than a mile from 2 grocery stores and I have written out a plan to get items should something trigger me to do so, but that’s as far as I’ve gotten.
Has anyone else received specific guidance from your angels and guides on this matter of stockpiling? How much? When the timing will be right to do so?

Thanks for asking Michael. We have done a lot of stockpiling in anticipation of coming problems regarding food supplies. We live in an area in B.C. that requires ferry service and if things get crazy its possible that there will be food shortages. Last March many shelves were empty at our grocery store. Our plan is to avoid these issues when the second wave hits. We have purchased mainly canned items which can be used up to their 3 year expiration date and these things are mainly what we would eat anyways. So they will not be wasted. As for hoarding, our thinking is that we could share with our friends and neighbors if need be. Jeanne has compiled a list of items that fit the criteria of feasible food items. We've spent the last 6 weeks gradually accumulating these items.
As for guidance regarding food stock piling. This message from Augustine is pretty clear. There is also a discussion on the DLSF private facebook page regarding this issue. I woke up the other day thinking that we have until mid October before things will be in lockdown again. In lockdown the attitude will be to panic buy food so our intention is to be ahead of the curve. Here is what Augustine says on the matter:

I am not giving this warning to bring fear into your hearts, but merely to inform you and to guide you that the world is not as it seems, that there will be continued upheavals and challenges as the world changes. Many manifestations of those changes will continue to be present in your lives and affect you thusly.
You must strong and vigilant. You must continue to pray and be in alignment with God for in this alignment will come all of the guidance that you require to be forthright and to have the protection and the capacity to deal with these conditions. The blessing of the Father’s Love gives each soul deeper perception and understanding. Your heart and that deep place within you that knows so much more than your minds will continue to inform you as to your steps upon this Earth.
As conditions on the Earth become more treacherous and difficult, it is important that you are attuned to these deeper places within to be able to read the signs and warnings that come before the onslaught. The creatures of your Earth, the animals, have these capacities within them. Each soul upon your Earth also has these capacities but few are listened to because humanity continues to nurture the mind as their predominant faculty to live and navigate life.
The mind is a great gift. The mind can perceive many things but in the sense of intuition, as you call it, of knowing things that God brings to each life and to the Earth, the mind is sorrowfully inadequate to understand and perceive these deeper and more subtle things. Your challenge, beloved souls, is to continue to attune yourselves to your souls, to continue in prayer, to open yourselves to the great gift of the God’s Love. In this way, those more subtle parts or yourself, your own soul, those intuitive parts will begin to flower in the sunlight of God’s Love.
So you will have an extra capacity, a way to understand things that are difficult for many to know and to perceive. In this way, you will be able to help your brothers and sisters, to bring to them an understanding of these waves of change that are coming. As you attenuate yourselves closer to those parts of you that have deeper perception and wisdom and knowledge, so you become a channel of love and blessings for your brothers and sisters and as you prove yourselves with those who are skeptical, who continue to look at you with wariness and mistrust.
Yet when you speak of things that are important, when you demonstrate truth and demonstrate your abilities and gifts so you affirm the beauty of your soul and the Truth of God working through you, these things within that God has blessed you with, gifts and insights, faculties, perceptions, great capacities for knowledge, for Truth. They are what will indeed assist you upon your journey of life more greatly than all the book knowledge and education that you have received in your life. For this is a time when much of this, this construct of man, will be weak in its capacity to deal with the onslaught of the Earth shuddering in change and reclamation and God’s blessings upon this Earth as well.
There are many forces, beloved souls, that continue to work in your world, that continue to conspire to bring these changes, to upset the human balance, if you will, to bring the natural balance into ascendancy in your world. So much is coming, beloved souls, and you have no true inkling of what and when. This is a blessing for if you knew all that is coming, it would make for a difficult acceptance of God’s plan for the salvation of humanity.
Remember, these things come not because God wishes to punish His children but rather that His children are continuing to punish themselves by being out of harmony with the Laws of God’s Creation, of not loving and respecting and acknowledging the great Truths and the simple Truths of your existence upon this world. So the harsh conditions of change, of disruption, of challenging each and every one of you in the world will manifest because this is or seems to be the only way by which humanity might learn and grow and seek higher things, for God, for the understanding of their true natures.
So God’s plan is to insure that you all come to that place of deeper understanding that you let go of these things that you cling to so adamantly and with great fear that you will lose so much. Yet, in your world, God has created conditions and laws and many things that may supply for each one of you, your needs, even your wants. But when you express yourselves in the world in ways that are contrary to God’s Laws, contrary to Love, contrary to harmony, then there must be a reconciliation, a healing of your world. So it will be. So you have tasted some of this unfortunate response from your world, your Mother Earth, towards those who will continue to ignore the warnings, the situations, the untenable conditions that humanity has created.
So the warnings and the signals and the manifestations of change will continue to harass you all until you are able to see more clearly, until you are able to conduct your lives in a way and fashion that is in harmony with God’s Laws. This is very difficult, I know, for many of you for you have lived in certain ways and means and attitudes that are not within this harmonious condition. Yet, you are often unaware of this. You often go about your business without consideration of these things. Although you are ignorant of the Laws, it does not mean that the Laws are not affecting and have their expression within your lives.
It is for you, as I have said, to go deeper within yourself, to understand these things of God’s world and to try to harmonise your own thoughts, your own perceptions, your own conditions with that of God. The power of God’s Love, the Divine Love, to assist you in this is great. The power of we, the Angels of Heaven, to come to you and educate and influence you so that you may see more clearly those things that are out of harmony with love, out of harmony with God’s Laws.
Within your soul is a knowing, a wisdom that comes with the blessing of the Divine Love so that you may see clearly given your efforts to look deeper within yourselves, to be more attuned to those places deep and wise and beautiful and full of God’s Love. So the challenges continue, beloved souls. The challenges will come in waves, will be surprising, will be disruptive. Yet, in all of this, you will be able to see the wisdom of all that manifests. Yet, each of you are well aware of the resources that are made available to you to weather these storms, to see with the eyes of your soul what is a great blessing rather than a disparaging condition of pain. You will emerge strong and clear and in joy and love.

I'm glad Al posted the Augustine message ... you can check my math, but by my count, Augustine says one time to "be prepared in your physical needs," says three times to be vigilant (e.g., "be vigilant for yourselves and for your families"), and seven times to be aligned with God, including:
in my garage. But I struggle with many of the difficulties that Michael shared, and sometimes, it's easy for my material mind to start going down the slippery slope of going full on prepper, which I find troubling.
And my mind also goes here: what if we're not meant to get through these Earth changes at our regular levels of comfort? Can we be strong enough if there will be times of hunger? Of cold? Lack of shelter?
I'm reminded regularly these days that throughout Earth's history (including the present moment) that there are people who have suffered terribly on this plane. One of those was Etty Hillesum, who was killed in Auschwitz in 1943 at the age of 29. She left behind diaries of her life during German occupation, and this quote from there was shared in one of my regular reads Monday:
So by all means, prepare for some disruption by stockpiling, but also prepare for the possibility that plans for maintaining comfort during these times may be disrupted too. And remember that, as Augustine says:

So preparing for some disruption makes sense, particularly if your situation is like Al & Jeanne's (ferry ride away from the mainland) or if you are responsible for others, especially children. I also really loved what Terry Adler said at the very end of the last Faith Over Fear last Friday. She noted that all of preparations we make in our shelters may not do us a lot of good if our shelters are actually threatened as a result of these Earth changes. So I resonate very strongly with her "recognition that my only shelter is in God. ... And I need to strengthen that anchor, that resource within me."There is a really deep well inside me. And in it dwells God. Sometimes I am there, too … And that is all we can manage these days and also all that really matters: that we safeguard that little piece of You, God, in ourselves.

Awesome! Thanks so much for sharing Al and Beth. You both have helped me to clarify some things that have been floating around in my mind for quite some time now. I have a plan worked out should I need it and I am in a position to stay vigilant for now. I did receive some guidance that felt pretty strong for me to purchase a small, solar powered generator (about $150) on amazon, which I can use to charge cell phones or run a small space heater if needed (I have a reoccurring vision that heat and power may be an issue where I live this winter). I also have a plan written out for food purchase and will be able to fill that quickly if needed.
Also, I had some of the same feelings as Beth in that preparing will only take me so far. Some of the struggles that may come will be inevitable and unavoidable. I have be using prayer to strengthen my soul should those times come. Sometimes I look at the world just think that this "human experience" will always be somewhat of an uphill battle for spiritual seekers. It seems like the greats get killed in the end (Jesus, Ghandi, MLK) ... but I do find great strength in the examples of their lives which gives me a lot of comfort. Maybe if we get through these earth changes and growing pains some of that will change and the world will become a more spiritually minded place.

Glad to have helped! I'm worried less about food ... in part because I think humans are wired generally to tolerate famine fairly well, and in part because I think that as one becomes more spiritual, the actual physical needs are likely less (even if our material minds still want our three squares ).
I wish I was someplace with a wood stove or fireplace, but alas, I'm not. And a solar generator won't help me in this northern latitude where we have 75% cloud cover for the winter months. But Catherine K shared a tip on last Friday's Faith Over Fear that if you have a part of your residence that is underground, then that part will be more insulated against the cold temps. And she also mentioned that since most body heat is lost through the head, wearing a hat would be essential.
