. I've always experienced those from New Zealand as being open, intelligent and friendly. Kind of like Aussies and Canadians. Yes, how you approach such a topic means all the difference as one must establish a rapport and sense of trust. I know that some of my friends think that I'm a little odd, but at my age I don't really care. Speaking my truth is more important than fitting in with the mundane reality that most are a part of.
